This is a wonderful
Vintage Christmas Line Art Drawing! This one comes from a
1940's Coloring Book. Shown above is a darling
Elf with a
Reindeer. The Reindeer looks like he's ready to hit the road (or make that skies actually!) with Santa! This would make a great
Digi Stamp for
Card Making, or fun for the
kids to Color in too!
Karen,
ReplyDeleteDo you have more like this? This would make a great embroidery block for a redwork quilt. I'd love to see the entire coloring book if you have the scans! What a treat!
Kathy
Hi Kathy, What a fun idea! I think I have a couple more in my Kids Printables section. This is actually only part of the scene, the pages are huge and don't fit in my scanner, so I just included this portion. I can try to do a couple more of these before Christmas. I'm so glad you like this!
DeleteDifferent - I like it. Many thanks :)

Hi Karen. Love many of the images like this one that are from the 40s and 50s. I even have a few originals of my own, but always thought I couldn't use them in my art because they are copyright protected; especially posting the work for sure.
ReplyDeleteAre there different length copyrights for greeting cards, wrapping paper, and maybe, other kinds of ephemera? I only know the 1923 cut-off date, and the extension of the 85% public domain generated art between 1922 and 1963. Is that art OK if it doesn't have a copyright symbol an it?
Thank you so much again for your incredible generosity. There is always one of your presents in my email account. I hope in the future I will have a better chance of sharing some of my creations that would not be possible without your images.
Wow, this is fantastic! Thanks so much for posting this.
