This is an adorable
Old Photo showing a group of
Children wearing cute
Costumes! My friend
Marian from
Miss Mustard Seed, let me borrow this one to share with you guys! Isn't it cute? The little girl in the back, on the left side, sitting on the railing is
Marian's Grandmother. That must be where she got her pretty curly hair from!
That is adorable! Wow, what a great photo... but I must say the look on the face of the little girl in the dark dress in the front is hilarious! She looks like she is NOT impressed with the little "King" standing in front of her!
ReplyDeleteOh, you're right Maureen! She looks quite jealous of him!
DeleteKaren, why is it that people, even children, I see here, seem to never be smiling in old pictures? I mean, it almost seems like they were forced not to smile, or something....or maybe they were being chastised into submission!!!???
ReplyDeleteIt was the custom in the old days not to smile for photos.....no matter how happy the occasion. I wonder if it had to do with the length of time one had to pose for a shot. The early equipment was nowhere near 'point and shoot.'
ReplyDeleteAww, the poor dears are certainly not a happy-looking bunch, are they?! But Marian's grandmother looks adorably content and, my goodness, I think she looks just like her!♥

Thank you Karen and Marian...This will make the most adorable Halloween card. The recipients? My retired school teacher buddies who fondly remember our school Halloween parades and those kindergarteners in their Nursery Rhyme costumes. Tooo cute!
