Patriotic Clip Art - Lady with Flag - Wonderful Engraving

This is a wonderful Engraving from an 1880's Printer's book! The engraving is a Patriotic Image of a Woman carrying an American Flag. She's wearing a Crown on her head and is holding a Wreath over her crown. The original image is at the bottom, and I've included a second version, where I've added some color to the Flag. I hope you like these for your Vintage Handmade Projects!

  5. Ah, such a great Memorial Day image. Her gesture reminds me of the French Marianne who is usually depicted in that pose, leading her people in battle to freedom.
